Innovation funding announced for 19 children's services departments

The money is intended to support the projects the 19 local authorities have requested to undertake relating to innovation and reform in children’s social care.

The amounts are set out below:

  • Cambridgeshire County Council £ 120,000.00
  • Cheshire East Council £ 262,600.00
  • Hampshire County Council £ 919,884.00
  • Lincolnshire County Council £ 1,500,864.00
  • London Borough of Enfield £ 58,000.00
  • London Borough of Hackney £ 818,953.00
  • London Borough of Hammersmith and
  • Fulham £ 787,416.00
  • London Borough of Islington £ 1,993,181.00
  • London Borough of Tower Hamlets £ 32,292.00
  • London Borough of Waltham Forest £ 45,000.00
  • North East Lincolnshire Council £ 55,000.00
  • North Yorkshire County Council £ 1,406,000.00
  • Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea £ 495,416.00

The DfE has not revealed details of the individual initiatives the money is intended to fund.
