LB Islington Council - Working with individuals with complex needs, Trauma Informed Practice & Motivational Interviewing
Interface continued working together with Islington Council, to deliver a bespoke 5 day training programme specifically with frontline workers from Police and Community Safety Teams. It was a culturally diverse group, with varied lengths of service and experience in their current and previous roles. The programme was tailored to the experiences and knowledge of the delegates attending, to explore new concepts and learning to enhance skills and confidence, that would support their role and the service they provide, from a very operational perspective.
The programme created a safe learning environment, which offered valuable time for reflection, discussions and the building of relationships between participants, which led to a further understanding of roles, processes and plans to implement more effective multi-agency working, in a trauma informed way moving forward.
Learning outcomes for the programme included:
- To explore the key skills and qualities needed to work ‘with’ and ‘come alongside’ individuals
