London Borough of Hillingdon - Safeguarding Partners: Trauma Informed Practice
Interface were commissioned to deliver 1-day Trauma Informed Practice training for the LB Hillingdon Safeguarding Partnership. The training was attended by staff from health, education and children services. The training included case examples and discussions regarding how to apply the key principles to practice.

- Gain awareness of how trauma manifests
- Appreciate the values and principles that underlie Trauma Informed Practice and why they are important
- Understand the four principles of TIP – Recognise, Respond, avoid Re traumatisation, build Resilience
- Understand what Trauma Informed Practice looks like
- Consider helpful responses around offering choice, collaboration, trust, empathy and providing safety
