London Borough of Redbridge – Embedding Trauma Informed Practice

As part of our ongoing work Trauma Informed Practice training with LB Redbridge we created a bespoke four-day package for middle managers to enable them to further develop their skills and to support their teams to embed their trauma informed learning. The course required them to explore their role as managers and to make explicit links to delivering their role with a trauma informed lens.

The course covered topics such as:

  • Differences between Leadership and Management and personal strengths
  • Leadership Styles and Trauma Informed Leadership and Management
  • Organisational Culture
  • Accountability and Responsibility
  • Thinking about the individuals and teams you manage

  • Communication and Language
  • Performance Management
  • Developing a trauma informed/strengths-based approach to supervision
