PACT - Domestic Abuse
This one day course gave an outline to Domestic Abuse, causes and affects and general overviews of behaviour and impact for victims and those who harm.
There was a lot of awareness raising of behaviours that relate to trauma and understanding of the effects of abusive behaviour. Within the course, there was also an outline to risk assessing and safety planning, which are the cornerstones to early intervention with Domestic Abuse. There were links to safety, and supporting children, and local pathways which enable practical solutions whilst raising awareness of the subject matter.
In PACT they work alongside a lot of harmful behaviour, as well as the victims of abuse, and we discussed at length the importance of disclosure and safety planning when working alongside families, being creative with managing situations in which victims may find themselves.

Thank you for an enjoyable and informative training session
May want to close with self care and promote the organisations EAP - Care First
