Carole is a registered qualified Social Worker with 25 years experience in working with children young people and their families and is currently working as a Consultant, Trainer and Independent Social Worker. This includes contracts with several education providers focussed on providing social and educational experiences for young people on the autistic spectrum.
She provides consultancy, training and professional supervision (group and individual) for a School Family Work Service partnership working across 35 schools. The approach is whole family, multi-agency to target need at an early help level.
Carole has experience of working in a statutory role in a local authority as a team manager in youth justice and then targeted youth support team. The roles included working within and across performance management frameworks with partners to create collaborative working relationships that are fit for purpose and able to meet need.
Carole is influential in interpreting policy and developing practice to embed the culture of multi-agency working, to provide holistic services able to meet the complex needs of children, young people and their families. She is experienced in research, inspection and quality assurance processes with an excellent working knowledge of the legislative frameworks pertaining to child care and youth justice.
An experienced trainer, with experience of delivering training in variety of settings to diverse audiences including, Teachers, Magistrates, Panel Members, Appropriate Adults, degree students and family coaches.
As a registered qualified Social Worker Carole holds the Advanced Award in Social Work. She also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in the Management of Multi-Agency Public Service Partnerships and has an MSc in Leadership and Management.
