Jill has over 25 years experience managing services for both young people and families, within the voluntary sector and within a Local Authority. She spent the first ten years of her career as a senior manager within a charity supporting young adults with learning difficulties, this role included managing a residential home, setting up employment opportunities and commissioning independent living placements all with a focus on delivering person centred services.
Jill then moved into managing several operational services for young people within a Local Authority, including Connexions, SEN services, Extended schools, Youth Services and Education Welfare. Her role included commissioning, planning and delivery of universal and targeted services for young people aged 13yrs – 24yrs. She has extensive experience in providing bespoke activities with young people who are NEET or at risk at becoming NEET.
Since 2011 Jill has been a lead for Troubled Families and managed a Family Intervention multi-agency team for a Local Authority. Jill has a real passion for whole family working and improving the outcomes for children, young people and families. In recent years Jill became operational lead for managing the parenting programmes and delivering evidence based parenting groups across a Local Authority.
Jill has extensive experience in managing teams and working in partnership, safeguarding children and young people is central to all of her work and she has the ability to challenge and offer constructive feedback to a wide range of professionals where appropriate. She is skilled at writing and reviewing a wide range of assessments including parenting, family and risk and has delivered a variety of training workshops including; recognising and responding to domestic abuse, sexual health, outcome star, FIP and Parenting.
