Sarah has worked with children and families for over thirty years within a variety of settings including Children’s Homes, Family Centres, Looked-After Social Care Team and Youth Offending Services.
Sarah's last two senior management positions have been planning, leading and implementing the project management of prevention services for vulnerable children and their families. This has been through the evolution of a countywide Pre Court and Prevention Service and as Service Manager for an inner-city Early Intervention Service. Sarah has extensive knowledge of working directly and supporting teams to work with vulnerable children and their identified needs and vulnerabilities ( e.g. , at risk of sexual exploitation or offending and ASD /ADHD )
Sarah has also founded an innovative charity for children of prisoners from its point of inception to its growth over the last 2 and half years
Sarah has extensive experience of working in a range of statutory settings and has achieved excellent outcomes at operational and strategic levels in family work relating to early intervention and crime prevention.
Sarah believes passionately in sound financial governance and has ensured the appropriate use of public funds through evaluating services that support vulnerable families.
Sarah has significant experience of working with multi-agency partners to develop sustained and successful targeted services that were integrated with mainstream children’s services, meeting the needs of this range of partners;
