Sarah Hammond has extensive experience and a credible reputation for delivering training and supporting governing body clerks. She simultaneously supported 32 schools demanding exceptional organisational skills.
Sarah trains for the NCSL Chair of Governors’ Leadership Development Programme and is a trainer and mentor for the National Clerks' Development Programme.
Sarah has provided governor training for Suffolk for five years and has mentored individuals, prepared materials and delivered extensive governor training including How Do I Start for new governors, Effective Governance, Finance (she has a strong finance background), Governing Body Health Checks, Governor visits and learning walks, Federation and Academies etc. She led workshops for the Federations Conference in Suffolk and was identified as an individual with significant federation knowledge.
She is a Governance Associate for a multi academy trust helping them to develop a wider understanding of good governance, including working with governing bodies where the schools were in ‘special measures’ and struggling to secure good governance.
