Sue comes to Interface with significant experience as a Senior Manager within the Public Sector, primarily Social Care and Youth Offending Services. Sue has considerable experience of change and project management, restructuring of services, leadership, and supervision of a range of multi-agency staff. She has delivered a range of training packages to managers and staff teams, volunteers and mentors. Sue has previously worked in the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Merton, Croydon and Islington and is a qualified social worker.
Sue has recently been working in the London Tri Borough leading on the development of a Youth Offending Whole Family model using the Team around the Family approach. This has involved developing a robust model that can be used for all young people and families who come within the Youth Offending Service. Sue has developed processes and procedures that ensure all safeguarding and other risk factors are considered and shared both with professionals and families to ensure the best outcomes for the whole family. Sue is extremely enthusiastic about this approach and how it can be effective both within YOS and other Social Care areas. She has been able to chair and facilitate the meetings with families (TAF's) and associated meetings and build and adapt the model.
