Our team has recently supported the Local Government Association to explore what works in improving early childhood outcomes. Through national engagement and a series of in-depth workshops with local authorities and partners, we developed a strong understanding of:
•    how councils are supporting children to reach a Good Level of Development (GLD)
•    what is working to reduce inequalities in early childhood development
•    the targeted approaches that make the biggest difference for disadvantaged families
•    the key enablers that help systems deliver at scale
•    the lessons that should inform both local delivery and national policy
This work gives us a clear, practical view of emerging best practice, the common blockers, and the solutions that help areas move faster.
