Interface are delighted to have been awarded the training contract to provide the Motivational interviewing learning & development programme for Hertfordshire.
Hertfordshire has been successful in securing Department for Education funding for an Innovation Programme entitled ‘Family Safeguarding’. As part of the changes, multi-disciplinary Family Safeguarding Teams will be established across Hertfordshire during 2015-16. Teams will consist of a Team Leader, Social Workers, a Community Psychiatric Nurse, Substance Misuse worker, Domestic Abuse Specialist, a Children’s Professional and a support officer. By bringing these specialisms closer together, Hertfordshire’s aim is to deliver more direct work with families, reduce bureaucracy and better help families to access the support they need.
A highly skilled workforce is integral to their new programme and will form part of the change of culture they wish to bring about that will see workers approach families with a different language and a different attitude, designed to empower parents to accept the help on offer to over their challenges and achieve better outcomes for their children.
