Government of Jersey - ATHE Level 4 Working with children, individuals and families

We are working with Jersey’s Children First.to provide our ATHE Level 4 working with children, individuals and families qualification.

We worked with Jersey to bespoke our popular course to ensure that we encompassed Jersey’s Children first process, values, principles, and qualities throughout the course. This has supported consistency and a shared language for identifying and understanding children and young people’s needs/risk and for assessing and planning to achieve desired outcomes. 

We were mindful to adapt the program to support the values and logistical differences working with the Island. We are at the end of the first the staggered 5 cohorts commissioned for delivery. with numbers kept small (12 per group) to support interactive learning and all cohorts are multi agency.

Manager and leader catch ups have been included to support the programme and highlight good practice and areas for improvement.

Part of the course includes a work project where individuals are requested to evidence where their practice meets the Jersey Children First 10 aims, this is already proving beneficial for staff to consider and reflect on their work with families and individuals.

 The qualification is run over 3 comprehensive unit these are:
