Call for evidence for The First 1000 Days: a renewed focus inquiry launched
The Health and Social Care Committee has announced the launch of it’s The First Hundred Days; A renewed focus inquiry. Following the initial inquiry launched in 2019 which considered national strategy, current spending and barriers to investment and local provision the Committee will examine progress made since that point, the effectiveness of family hubs and integrated care systems in improving early childhood outcomes and how inequalities in access can be most improved.
The inquiry, including the evidence gathered from practitioners and families, will then inform the recommendations to government.
The committee is looking to hear views and is welcoming submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in the call for evidence.
Evidence can be submitted here until Monday 21 April 2025.
