London-wide funding launched to support girls and young women affected by violence
London-based community organisations are being invited to apply for a new grant programme to support girls and young women affected by violence, gangs and exploitation. The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has opened the Girls and Young Women Local Groups Fund, offering grants to deliver group-based support and create safe spaces across the capital.
The programme is open to organisations already working with girls and young women, particularly smaller, community-led groups. Successful applicants will provide safe environments for peer support and take part in development activity designed to strengthen practice, build capacity and create a stronger London-wide network of providers. The fund will be delivered by Social Finance, alongside specialist partners Abianda and Agenda Alliance.
A total of £610,000 is available, with individual grants ranging from £25,000 to £80,000 for projects running from June 2026 to June 2027. Applications close on 6 February 2026. Kaya Comer-Schwartz, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, said the fund would help create “safe, supportive spaces” where girls and young women can share experiences and receive the support they need.
