The government has announced a call for evidence on the effectiveness of statutory guidance for local authority youth services.
The review, which seeks to establish how the statutory guidance for Local Authorities on providing youth services can be more useful for local youth service provision and young people themselves’ is seeking ‘an open conversation’ on what is what is working well and to understand possible areas for improvement.
The consultation is looking for people working in or with an interest in the sector to share thoughts on how government can create guidance for Local Authorities that helps them to make the best decisions around how best to provide services to young people.
In addition, they want to hear about how this guidance can be clearer and more useful for young people and the organisations that work with them.
The consultation period will run until 1 December 2019.
