WWCSC announces details of new projects intended to improve outcomes for children and families

What Works for Children’s Social Care (WWCSC) has announced details of the seven projects that will receive a total of nearly £2 million to help improve outcomes for children and families and build an evidence base in children’s social care.

Funding will last for 18 months and the projects will independently evaluated to help understand what works best supporting the organisations mission to ensure that social workers and local authorities are armed with the best possible evidence to support their practice.

The projects receiving support include:

  • Lighthouse Parenting Programme, Bath and North East Somerset Council and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust
  • Creative Life Story Work, Blue Cabin
  • Prevent-Protect-Repair, London Borough of Lewisham
  • Creative Mentoring, The Mighty Creatives
  • Putting Kitbag to Work, University of Sussex & International Futures Forum
  • No Recourse Early Action Model (NOREAM), University of Wolverhampton
  • We Can Talk About Domestic Abuse, Wirral MBC
