Convenient and easy to sign up to, see our stimulating courses below. If you can't make the open courses talk to us and we can bring these to you in house. Our open courses will benefit:

We are running open courses throughout 2019, as follows:

Level 4 Certificate - Working with Children, Individuals and Families 

This is a 15 credit Level 4 qualification which consists of 3 units and leads to a regulated qualification. This is a 6-day face to face training course delivered by an experienced training professional followed by a comprehensive assessment process over 6 months. You will be required to attend the full 6-day course.

Level 5 Leadership and Management Certificate - Working with Children, Individuals and Families

This course leads to a qualification which is regulated by OFQUAL. It is a 22 credit Level 5 qualification consisting of 3 units. It is run as a 6-day face to face training course followed by a comprehensive assessment process over a 6 month period.

The course is designed to develop effective leaders enabling them to use strategies to influence and provide  challenge to ensure organisational objectives are met whilst enhancing stakeholder relationships and understanding and responding to a variety of national/local agendas around working with children, individuals and families.

Staff Support and Supervision

Supervision is a vital part of effective working with individuals and families with multiple and complex needs.  It enables the manager and organisation to identify risks in cases, manage worker stress and reflective practice and address worker competence and gaps in learning.  We have developed and deliver a two day programme based on our work with multiple organisation and practitioner feedback   The course develops managers who feel able to address issues and support workers to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families.

Motivational Interviewing

Working effectively with individuals and families with multiple and complex needs requires staff to bring about change and improvements in outcomes. Motivational interviewing is a powerful technique in bringing about behaviour change. This course will provide you with knowledge and awareness how to use motivational interviewing as a technique. You will consider the cycle of change and consider how to work with ambivalence. Brain Development - Understanding baby, child and teenage brain development

This course provides learners with an understanding of the function of early brain development and its impact on children and young people’s life chances. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Early childhood experiences have lasting, measurable consequences later in life, we therefore need to foster emotional well-being from the earliest stages of life, enhancing resilience and the importance of relationships.
