Assessment, Analysis & Plans
We created this course to respond to the changing priorities and needs of the workforce in Early Help and Children’s Social care.
This course is designed to upskill workers and build confidence in assessing needs when working with children and families.
We will customise the course to suit your workforce needs. Our approach ensures that the training is relevant and directly applicable, enhancing the productivity and effectiveness of your team.
It aims to foster professional curiosity and provide the ability to recognise and articulate risks, capturing the voice of each family member while keeping the child at the centre of practice. We will introduce tools and strategies to enhance communication and curiosity and build confidence in using current tools to their fullest potential.
The course will emphasise the development of skills necessary to create a clear SMART family plan in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.
Content Includes:
• Assessing the needs of the whole family
• Gaining Family Members' Perspectives: Utilise tools to capture the voices of all family members, including the lived experiences of children.
• Writing balanced strengths-based assessments
• Enhancing Critical Thinking Skills: Develop the ability to use assessment information for informed critical thinking and analysis.
• Distinguishing fact from judgment: Understand and apply the appropriate use and purpose of facts and judgments in assessments.
