Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue & Emotional Wellbeing training

Professionals supporting children, families, vulnerable adults, and people experiencing trauma, adversity, or crisis are regularly exposed to distressing situations and emotional pressure. Over time, this can affect wellbeing, resilience, confidence, and professional judgement.

Drawing on our experience delivering Trauma Informed Practice programmes, we have developed this practical one-day course to help frontline practitioners understand the emotional impact of their work and strengthen wellbeing and resilience.

The training explores the emotional and physiological impact of working with trauma and distress and helps practitioners recognise the signs and effects of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, burnout, and moral injury.

The programme combines theory, reflection, practical activities, and simple regulation strategies to help practitioners protect their wellbeing and continue working effectively in demanding services.

Participants consistently describe the training as engaging, supportive, thought-provoking, and immediately applicable to practice.

This one-day course can be adapted to reflect your organisation, workforce pressures, and practice environment.
