Self Management in times of anxiety and overload - Virtual Training

We live in an uncertain environment where the demands of work and everyday life are becoming increasing hard to handle.

The purpose of this workshop is to help you articulate, understand and manage anxiety and overload at work. We want to create an opportunity for you to think about what you can do to stop feeling powerless and instead to work from a position of understanding what internal and external factors contribute to making us feel stressed and work.

The following themes will be explored:

  • Anxiety symptoms: when and how they manifest themselves
  • Performance pressures:  in what specific situations do you feel under pressure
  • Managing time: why we feel there is never enough time and how this affects how we feel about ourselves
  • Priorities: do we make our own priorities or do others tell us what they should be
  • Communication: who knows how we feel, what do we choose to reveal, and how
  • Building resilience: what activities help us maintain balance, who helps us stay strong, in what situations do you feel stronger, when are you more likely to feel resilient, why is it possible to ask for help from some people and not others
  • Be your own coach: do we acknowledge our inner-conversations; how can we be kinder to ourselves; how we can shift that ‘inner-gremlin’ that sabotages our best intentions

The workshop will help you develop your own personal action plan and support you to feel in control of who you are, how you work and how you self-manage some difficult feelings when you are at work.

The course will be run over a series of bite sized training modules, interactive group discussion/reflections, videos and worksheets.
