Fiona Joines

Fiona’s early career spanned the early years sector working in private nurseries, creches, primary schools, children's centres and working abroad as a nanny and playworker. She used these varied experiences to move into teaching in further education where she primarily worked with young people wanting to gain vocational qualifications in the early years and health and social care fields. She also taught on foundation degrees in classroom support and health and social care and spent 1 year with the teacher training team.

Fiona has spent the past 6 years focusing on training adults and as a trained adult trainer, brings many skills to this area of development.

Professional Qualifications

Her interest in digital technologies developed during her time in further education and led to her completing a Masters Degree to extend her knowledge in this area further.

She has just finished writing a book combining her knowledge and interests in technology and the early years; it will be published by Taylor & Francis later in 2023

Whilst working directly with clients in the offline world is what Fiona loves most, in 2019 she completed training with the CIPD to develop her skills to deliver online workshops too.
