LB Tower Hamlets ATHE Level 4 Working with Children, Individuals and families

We were delighted train the 5th cohort of Staff in LB of Tower Hamlets in our level 4 qualification.

Tower Hamlets are committed to investing on staff training and development and keen to offer those working in the newly structured Early Help Service an opportunity to complete the full 3-unit 15 credit award.

Units covered in the qualification are:

Unit 1 - Engagement and Communication - Building Effective Relationships

Unit 2 - Assessment, Tools and Planning

Unit 3 - Supporting family members towards independence and self – reliance

17 staff attended and completed the qualification and received full certification. This included children’s centre staff and mangers, family support, play workers and specialist support for young people.

Staff engaged in the process and produced some high-quality portfolios of evidence. There were some innovative and inspiring work projects produced where staff reflected on their practice and the service offered through the Early Help Framework.

Feedback and reflections from staff showed the impact of learning on Trauma, Child and teenage brain development and ending relationships with families had an immediate positive effect on their role.

The service has a strong underpinning of restorative approaches and were able to build on this through the development of the qualification, we ensured the course was bespoke to Tower Hamlets Early Help Service using their framework and templates. This supported both the development of individual skills and practice and the wider early help service.
