Jersey Children First ATHE Level 4 certificate – Working with Children, individuals & Families.
Jersey Children First was looking to offer an accredited qualification to staff working with families to gain some shared understanding and knowledge in assessing need, collaborative working, developing whole family smart plans and building independence and self-reliance.
The written assessment work has been of a very high standard and some excellent portfolios of evidence have been submitted to the awarding body, all learners have received the full qualification.
Witness testimonies were gathered from managers and colleagues to evidence their practice alongside direct work examples such as assessments and plans or tools they have used. This allowed learners to build a portfolio of evidence that demonstrated their knowledge and understanding to meet the vocational qualification.
The course was delivered virtually over 7 half day sessions. Learners received a number of one to ones and a professional discussion and portfolio building session.
We have more cohorts of staff to complete in Jersey and very much valuing the long term working relationship.
