Level 5 OPEN Training Oct 21 Cohort

This cohort of 10 learners came from Health (NHS Service Director), Local Authorities including Buckinghamshire and Doncaster and colleagues from a range of voluntary sector organisations including PACT (Prison Advice and Care Trust), Early Start Care group and Jamma Umoja (Parenting Assessment unit).

The OFQUAL approved 22 credit Level 5 qualification covered the 3 Units:

Leadership, Management & Supervision – looking at individual and organisational values, the difference between leadership and management, principles of effective leadership, leadership styles and building resilience. There is also a specific focus on staff support, supervision and performance management.

Building effective relationships – considering relationships between all stakeholders (personal and partnerships) and managing change.

Evidencing outcomes and embedding improvements - understanding and responding to a variety of national/ local agendas with a focus on quality assurance, improvement, managing risk, benchmarking and evidencing performance.

This has been provided extremely successfully on a virtual basis as a result of COVID-19 restrictions and our next cohort has recently started. We have been delighted by the level of sharing in the room.
