Oxfordshire Youth Justice Service – ACE’s training.
This course was for members of the youth offending service who were interested in considering the impact of trauma and ACE’s on their young people and how to reflect that in case management.
Live cases were brought to the day and we took those cases through a series of steps from creating a trauma timeline to case planning using a trauma model of intervention. We also explored attitudes and values and the impact of vicarious trauma on staff.
Feedback from the service manager who attended included:
“Many people have approached me to say they found the training really enjoyable and interesting. “
Learner feedback included:
‘I feel that I have better ‘language’ to explain the work I’m doing.’
‘The trainer was excellent – really engaging.’
‘I now have the language & framework to use TRM as part of assessment process.’
