Stockton - Culture Changing Training Programme
Stockton Council have developed ‘A Fairer Start’ ethos and philosophy that aims to ensure that every child has the best start in life through culture change, awareness raising, knowledge building and empowering communities to raise children in a healthy and happy environment. With the overarching aim for all children to be ‘School Ready’ by the age of 5.
A Fairer Start is a 3 year pilot project currently funded by Stockton Borough Council, Public Health, NHS Hartlepool & Stockton-on-Tees CCG focussing on improving the life chances of 0-3 year olds living in the Stockton Town Centre ward.
Interface are offering 2 half day manager’s briefing sessions and 2½ days multi agency training to professionals and volunteers to support and embed a culture change training programme. The training focus is on:
- Behaviour, Communication and Principles of Good Practice
- Working With Others
- Managing Self
