DfE publishes new Early Years Foundation Stage frameworks

After running a consultation in Summer 2023 the Department for Education has published two new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework documents, one for childminders and one for group and school-based providers.

The frameworks set out the standards that school and childcare providers must meet for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5.

Subject to parliamentary procedure, the frameworks  will replace the current single EYFS framework from 4 January 2024.
