Risk and resilience in children and young people
Working effectively with individuals and families with multiple and complex needs requires staff to understand risk and resilience both as individuals and across whole families.
This practical programme will provide you with an understanding of risk, resilience and self-esteem as well as solution focused and motivational interviewing principles. It will provide skills to support you to go out and work effectively with individuals and families with multiple and complex needs.
It is suitable for front line staff working on the Early Help/Family Hub agenda as well as school staff, children services, those in early years settings, the VCS, Housing and Health.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand and define risk, resilience and self-esteem for children and young people
- Demonstrate core techniques for building resilience and self-esteem
- Understand building blocks of resilience for children and young people
- Develop skills to engage and evidence levels of child resilience
- All courses are offered on a Face to Face or Virtual basis.
