Safeguarding children level 3
The safeguarding of children is the responsibility of all. Interface understands the need to provide a training programme which focuses on roles, responsibilities and procedures in line with current legislation and guidance to ensure all staff are equipped to exercise their functions with a view to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Safeguarding children level 3 is an in-depth programme for professionals working directly with cases who are subject to or at risk of being subject to a child protection plan. The course will explore the impacts of family history and lessons learnt from serious case reviews. The course is suitable for social workers, lead professionals, senior health workers, team leaders and managers.
Learning Outcomes
Using research and learning from serious case reviews to enable participants to understand the:
- Impact of parenting issues such as domestic abuse, substance use and mental ill health on parenting capacity.
- Importance of family history and functioning.
- Explore issues of family non engagement, superficial compliance within the context of the role.
- All courses are offered on a Face to Face or Virtual basis.

Early Help Training – London Borough of Haringey
Interface worked with Haringey Early Help Executive group members to develop a 3 module training programme for front line staff and those involved in the wider early help offer. The package of support was to integrate the new Early help workflow in to practice and embrace the culture change that this would bring.
